dc.description.abstract	El bosque húmedo tropical (bhT) es uno de los ecosistemas más complejos y diversos del mundo, en Colombia se extiende sobre las tierras bajas, y es responsable de servicios ecosistémicos como la regulación del clima y la generación de agua, además tiene un gran potencial económico que puede ser aprovechado a la par con su conservación. Sin embargo, la acelerada tasa de deforestación y el desconocimiento de la composición florística en las regiones del país donde persiste el bhT, ponen en riesgo este ecosistema. Se realizó un análisis de la composición y estructura florística de un bhT en el área de influencia de la Serranía de San Lucas, predios de la Asociación Campesina del Valle del río Cimitarra (ACVC), sur del departamento de Bolívar, empleando la metodología RAP y cubriendo un área total de 0.5 hectáreas. Se censaron 1364 33 géneros y 290 morfoespecies. La distribución del Índice de Valor de Importancia (IVI) permite inferir que las formaciones vegetales estudiadas están atravesando un estadio sucesional intermedio, lo que se correlaciona principalmente con presiones de origen antrópico. Los resultados anteriores, aunados a la presencia de especies amenazadas y endémicas, muestran la necesitad de proponer alternativas para el manejo, conservación y uso sostenible del bosque.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The tropical rain forest is one of the most complex and diverse ecosystems in the world. In Colombia it extends over the lowlands and is responsible for ecosystem services such as climate and water cycle regulation. Moreover, it also has a great economic potential that could be exploited in parallel with its conservation. However, the accelerated deforestation rates and the lack of basic knowledge related with its floristic composition in some regions of the country, place this ecosystem at serious risk. The floristic composition and structure analysis of a tropical rain forest was carried out in the area of influence of the Serranía de San Lucas, specifically in the Asociación Campesina del Valle del río Cimitarra (ACVC), south of the department of Bolívar, using the RAP belonging to 50 families, 133 genera and 290 morpho-species, were registered. The distribution of the IVI allows us to infer that the vegetal communities are passing through an intermediate successional stage, which is mainly correlated with pressures of anthropogenic origin. The previous results, together with the presence of threatened and endemic species, show the need to propose alternatives for the management, conservation and sustainable use of the forest.
