dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo de grado surge como una respuesta a la necesidad de la organización Terpel S.A de mejorar sus productos y servicios, apoyándose en la formación que la Universidad Industrial de Santander brinda a sus estudiantes de ingeniería, los cuales mediante el desarrollo de este proyecto dan solución a un problema recurrente en dicha industria. El proceso de vaciado de los tambores actualmente se hace de una manera rudimentaria y poco eficiente, poniendo en riesgo la integridad de los empleados. En la industria nacional no se fabrica en masa un equipo específico que cumpla con este trabajo debido a su limitada demanda. Para ello se diseñará y construirá un equipo de decantación para tambores, que cumpla con normas de seguridad, salud y ambiente, con cuyo resultado adecuado se abrirá una posibilidad de mercado importante para TK.ASME.API.INGENIERIA.EU, haciéndola pionera en el servicio completo de fabricación, montaje y mantenimiento. La ejecución de este proyecto de pregrado, fomentará el desarrollo de nuevos profesionales que contribuyan a la misión de la universidad. En el desarrollo de este proyecto no se especifican las condiciones de diseño y fabricación de este equipo, debido a los derechos de propiedad intelectual que ostentan la Empresa quienes son los desarrolladores del producto. Se brindará información que presenta de forma clara y entendible el diseño, montaje y puesta en marcha del equipo.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This degree work is a response to the need of the organization Terpel SA to improve its products and services, based on the formation that the Industrial University of Santander offers its engineering students, which by developing this project give solution to a recurring problem in the industry. The process of emptying drums currently rudimentary and inefficient, is putting at risk the integrity of employees. In the domestic industry, a specific equipment that meets this work is not produced in mass due to limited demand. For this purpose will be designed and built an equipment of settling for drums, that meets standards of safety, health and environment. A successful output yields a competitive advantage in the market for TK.ASME.API.INGENIERIA.EU, making it a pioneer in the complete service line: manufacturing, installation and maintenance. The implementation of this undergraduate project encourages the development of new professionals to contribute to the mission of the university. In the development of this project the conditions of design and manufacture of this equipment are not specified, due to the rights of intellectual property that are the company who are the developers of the product However, the document present in a clear and understandable way the design, installation and commissioning of the equipment.
