dc.description.abstract	Este proyecto plantea una selección y análisis de tres de las obras más relevantes de la música académica para saxofón alto del siglo XX, y el notable valor que a lo largo del tiempo ha venido tomando este instrumento debido a su gran versatilidad y posibilidades sonoras, características que han logrado ganarse la atención y admiración de muchos compositores que lo incluyen en sus grandes obras como instrumento solista. Además, este trabajo pretende, mediante la presentación de un recital, ampliar la visión de los futuros estudiantes de saxofón de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, en cuanto al estudio de este instrumento, y de alguna manera facilitar una mejor comprensión de los aspectos técnicos, musicales e interpretativos que este estilo musical requiere. La historia, los compositores, las obras, entre otras generalidades, complementan el proyecto y ofrecen una información adicional valiosa que permitirá ilustrar de mejor manera el contenido del trabajo. Como parte esencial, el trabajo brinda una serie de recomendaciones y conclusiones basadas en la experiencia obtenida en el estudio de estas obras, las cuales reclaman al instrumentista una continua búsqueda de recursos técnicos e interpretativos, de los cuales podrán encontrar en el trabajo, esto con el fin de que los futuros intérpretes del repertorio propuesto, encuentren en este libro un apoyo y una motivación para el montaje de otros recitales.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This project proposes a selection and analysis of three of the most outstanding works of the classical music for alto saxophone of the twentieth century, and the remarkable value that over time has been taking this instrument due to its great versatility and sound capabilities, features that have been earning the attention and admiration of many composers who include it in their great works such as solo instrument. In addition, this work aims to, through the presentation of a recital, broadening the vision of the future students of saxophone on the Universidad Industrial de Santander, in regard to the study of this instrument and in some way facilitate a better understanding of the technical aspects, musical and interpretative that this musical style requires. The history, the composers, works, among other general information, complement the project and offer additional valuable information that will allow you to better illustrate the content of the work. As an essential part, the work provides a series of recommendations and conclusions based on the experience gained in the study of these works, which claim to the instrumentalist a continuous search of interpretative and technical resources, of which you will be able to find in the work, so that the future interpreters of the repertory proposed, will find in this book to be a support and a motivation for mounting other recitals.
