dc.description.abstractEn este documento presentamos resultados de una investigación de corte didáctico, que tuvo como objetivo: reconocer las contribuciones de la modelación matemática de problemas auténticos en el estudio del concepto de integral. Para lograr el objetivo, se utilizaron elementos teóricos de la modelación matemática desde la didáctica; estos elementos nos permitieron diseñar, implementar y evaluar problemas auténticos: descarga de un archivo, comportamiento de trasmisión de un virus y modelación del área bajo la curva de una función potencia. Estos problemas involucraron en su solución el concepto de integral y estuvieron relacionados con la vida cotidiana de los participantes. A partir de los datos recogidos y su respectivo análisis, se reconocieron cuatro contribuciones de la modelación matemática para el estudio del concepto de integral: Modelación matemática de un problema auténtico como desencadenador de motivación, Modelación matemática de un problema auténtico como desencadenador de modelos del concepto de integral, Significados asociados al concepto de integral y por último Modelación y tecnología en el estudio del concepto de integral. Finalmente, con los resultados encontrados en esta investigación se espera sean útiles a estudiantes, profesores e instituciones de educación superior.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn this paper we present results of a didactic research, which aimed to recognize the contributions of the mathematical modeling of authentic problems in the study of the concept of integral. To achieve the objective, theoretical elements of mathematical modeling from didactics were used; these elements allowed us to design, implement and evaluate authentic problems: downloading a file, virus transmission behavior and modeling the area under the curve of a power function. These problems involved in their solution the concept of integral and were related to the daily life of the participants. From the data collected and their respective analysis, four contributions of mathematical modeling were recognized for the study of the concept of integral: Mathematical modeling of an authentic problem as a trigger for motivation, Mathematical modeling of an authentic problem as a trigger for integral concept models, Meanings associated with integral concept and finally Modeling and technology in the study of integral concept. Finally, with the results found in this research is expected to be useful to students, teachers and institutions of higher education.
