dc.description.abstractLo que se desea con el presente texto es observar la educación actual en Colombia y en Estados Unidos, haciendo referencia a las falencias que se han venido mostrando en los diferentes años, pues la educación es quien forja mentes, quien hace hombres para la sociedad .Por ello, es importante mirar qué causas están siendo las protagonistas de éste proceso de degradación en la educación, y como se podrá poner a prueba la propuesta del medio del diálogo una mejora en la educación. Del mismo, Martha C. Nussbaum en su gran Sin fines de lucro. Porqué la democracia necesita de las humanidades, examina los efectos de la crisis actual por la que atraviesa la educación y que afecta indudablemente la democracia. Esto es lo que se desea resaltar. Por ello, es de vital importancia tomar estos temas sociales, en este caso la educación, pues el conocimiento es el que hace que el hombre tenga alas y busque desarrollar todas sus capacidades, si la educación está en crisis el hombre también lo está. Por eso, lo que se quiere es concientizar la importancia de la educación colombiana, principalmente, y estadounidense como punto de comparación, y buscar alternativas que ayuden a salir de esta problemática o que se plantee una posible solución.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe aim of this text is to look at the current education in Colombia and the US, making reference to the troubles that have been shown along the years, since the education is the one which mold minds, the one which makes men for the society. That is why is important to take a look at the causes that have been protagonists in this process of degradation in the education, and how we will be able to prove the proposal of the author Estanislao Zuleta on his book because he saw the possibility to improve the education by dialogue. Martha C. Nussbaum on in Without profit. Why democracy needs the humanities, studies the effects of the current crisis that the education is facing and clearly affects the democracy. That is what we want to highlight. That is why, is vital to take these social topics, in this case the education, because is knowledge what gives man wings and makes him look for the complete development of his skills, if the education is in crisis the man is in crisis too. Therefore, what the text wants to do is to show the importance of the Colombian education, at first and also the american education as a comparison, and look for alternatives that help to solve this problem or to create a possible solution.
