dc.description.abstractDesde hace tiempo se ha discutido la manera de medir el desarrollo económico. Lo cierto es que al hablar de desarrollo es necesario incorporar aspectos sociales que inciden en el progreso de las localidades, además, externalidades como el conflicto armado que predomina en el proceso de desarrollo económico. La presente investigación tiene como finalidad evaluar el desarrollo económico en San Jacinto, Bolívar, desde el enfoque del índice de desarrollo humano, particularmente, en su medida municipal durante el periodo 2005-2015. Usando la metodología propuesta por los informes mundiales de desarrollo humano del PNUD (longevidad, nivel educacional y nivel de vida), y, teniendo en cuenta la dimensión de seguridad humana trabajada por la misma entidad, se añade la variable violencia al análisis de este municipio víctima del conflicto. Para el análisis de los resultados, se tienen en cuentan, la matriz de planteamientos con base a las teorías del desarrollo, el contexto general del municipio y los índices de educación, salud, ingresos y violencia para el cálculo del IDH. Como resultado se encuentra que el IDH corregido por la violencia es más eficiente que el IDH en su forma básica, el rendimiento con calificación alta se debe a que en los años examinados se implementaron políticas de seguridad y paz para disminuir el número de homicidios y el número de desplazamientos. El marco teórico usado fue significativo para soportar demás problemáticas de desarrollo económico que no se abarcan en el cálculo del IDH.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe way to measure economic development has long been discussed. The truth is that when talking about development it is necessary to incorporate social aspects that influence the progress of the localities, in addition, externalities such as the armed conflict that predominates in the process of economic development. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the economic development in San Jacinto, Bolívar, from the focus of the human development index, particularly in its municipal measure during the period 2005-2015. Using the methodology proposed by the PNUD global human development reports (longevity, educational level and standard of living), and taking into account the dimension of human security worked by the same entity, the variable violence is added to the analysis of this municipality victim of conflict For the analysis of the results, the matrix of approaches based on development theories, the general context of the municipality and the education, health, income and violence indices for the calculation of the IDH are taken into account. As a result, it is found that the IDH corrected for violence is more efficient than the IDH in its basic form, the performance with high qualification is due to the fact that in the years examined, security and peace policies were implemented to decrease the number of homicides and the number of displacements The theoretical framework used was significant to support other economic development problems that are not covered in the calculation of the IDH.
