These satellites are made up of different subsystems, one of them and perhaps the most important is the communications system with which the satellite communicates with a ground station for the transmission and reception of information. The research work proposes the design and implementation of a prototype communication system focused on a CubeSat type satellite, whose main characteristic is that it incorporates Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology. The main propagation phenomena present in a wireless radio link, such as phase deviations, frequency, noise, multipath, among others, are taken into account. The design is started at the simulated channel level using the open source software GNU Radio which provides specialized digital signal processing blocks for radio, which will be used in conjunction with external libraries that will help to combat the challenges of transmitting over a wireless channel, as well as for the implementation of the HDLC protocol and the transformations of the radio signal that correspond to the QPSK and GMSK modulation schemes widely used in radio systems for small satellite missions. Once the system has been implemented using each modulation scheme in a simulated environment, we proceed to the implementation with the HackRF One radio transceiver with which ground tests will be performed in order to validate the simulation results. which provides specialized digital signal processing blocks for radio, which will be used in conjunction with external libraries that will help to combat the challenges of transmitting over a wireless channel, as well as for the implementation of the HDLC protocol and the transformations of the radio signal that correspond to the QPSK and GMSK modulation schemes widely used in radio systems for small satellite missions.
