dc.description.abstractEste trabajo de grado presenta la experiencia de la práctica empresarial realizada en la Secretaría de Salud Departamental. La práctica se llevó a cabo bajo la supervisión de la División de Planeación y con la aprobación de la Escuela de Ingeniería Civil de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Durante cuatro meses, el estudiante colaboró en diversos proyectos de infraestructura hospitalaria, mejoras en la Secretaría de Salud y optimización de puestos de salud a cargo de la Gobernación de Santander. Las funciones desempeñadas incluyeron seguimiento y control de proyectos, apoyo en actividades de planificación y tareas administrativas. La práctica cumplió con los objetivos establecidos en el plan de trabajo, permitiendo al estudiante adquirir un conocimiento superior al esperado, particularmente en el ámbito de la supervisión técnica de obras. La colaboración con la interventoría y el contratista facilitó la revisión documental de los proyectos. Además, se desarrolló la capacidad de identificar y buscar soluciones a problemas durante la ejecución de las obras, discutiendo las mismas en comités con residentes y directivos de los proyectos. Finalmente, la práctica permitió desarrollar habilidades de oratoria para explicar proyectos de manera general a personas sin conocimientos técnicos.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis research presents the experience of business practice carried out in the Departmental Health Secretariat. The practice was carried out under the supervision of the Planning Division and with the approval of the School of Civil Engineering of the Industrial University of Santander. For four months, the student collaborated on various hospital infrastructure projects, improvements in the Ministry of Health and optimization of health posts in charge of the Government of Santander. The functions performed included project monitoring and control, support in planning activities and administrative tasks. The practice met the objectives established in the work plan, allowing the student to acquire knowledge greater than expected, particularly in the field of technical supervision of works. Collaboration with the auditor and the contractor facilitated the documentary review of the projects. In addition, the ability to identify and seek solutions to problems during the execution of the works was developed, discussing them in committees with residents and project managers. Finally, the practice allowed us to develop public speaking skills to explain projects in a general way to people without technical knowledge.
