dc.description.abstractEl presente documento contiene el desarrollo metodológico del análisis y diagnóstico de la Gestión Integral de Residuos en Cerro Matoso S.A. A partir del conocimiento en campo de los procedimientos ejecutados como parte de la gestión de los residuos generados por CMSA, se logró su estandarización, a través, de la elaboración y socialización de la documentación correspondiente. Así mismo, se realizó la identificación, caracterización y cuantificación de los residuos recibidos por área de disposición final o almacenamiento temporal. Con base en este análisis, se diseñó un sistema de indicadores de gestión, que permite hacer seguimiento a los aspectos más relevantes del proceso. De igual manera, como parte del diagnóstico global del sistema, se realizó el análisis de tiempos, capacidades y cargas asignadas para cada una de las fases, mediante el cual se identificaron oportunidades de mejora para aumentar la eficiencia de la gestión. Por último, se aplicaron los conceptos de la Investigación de Operaciones, para diseñar un modelo matemático, que permitió establecer la programación de las rutas de recolección de residuos, basada en la minimización del tiempo y la maximización de la cantidad de residuos recolectados. Los resultados del trabajo, condujeron a la elaboración de una propuesta de mejoramiento para el proceso, que permitirá aumentar la eficiencia, la capacidad de recolección y la recuperación de residuos, convirtiéndose en herramienta de apoyo a la toma de decisiones respecto a costos, asignación de cargas de trabajo, diseño de recorridos, cálculo de eficiencias y tratamiento de residuos.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis document contains the methodological development of the analysis and diagnosis of the Integral Management of Waste in Cerro Matoso S.A. From the knowledge in the field of procedures performed as part of the management of waste generated by CMSA, standardization was achieved by through the development and socialization of the relevant documentation. Also, It was realized the identification, characterization and quantification of the waste received by area of final disposition or temporary storage. Based on this analysis, it was designed a system of management indicators, which allows tracking the most relevant aspects of the process. Similarly, as part of the global diagnosis of the system, it was developed the analysis of times, capacity and assigned charges for each phase, which identified opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency of management. Finally, there were applied the concepts of Operations Research, to design a mathematical model, which allowed to establish the scheduling of waste collection routes, based on minimizing time and maximizing the amount of waste collected. The results of the work, led to the development of a proposal for improving the process, which will increase the efficiency, capacity of collection and recovery of waste, making it a tool to support decision making regarding cost, assignment of work loads, design of routes, the calculation of efficiencies and waste treatment.
