dc.description.abstractEl estudio que aquí se presenta tuvo como objetivo el desarrollar un análisis histórico epistemológico del concepto de determinante comprendiendo un periodo de tiempo desde el año 1693 hasta 1812, en esta línea de tiempo se analizarán las obras de grandes matemáticos de la época tales como: Leibniz, Cramer, Bézout, Lagrange, Gauss, Vandermonde y Cauchy. Con el fin de establecer cuáles fueron los principales aspectos históricos y epistemológicos que promovieron el origen, el desarrollo y la formalización del concepto de determinante, de ver cómo pasa de ser una herramienta utilizada en contextos de aplicación a ser un objeto matemático de estudio. Después del análisis histórico- epistemológico se abrió paso a la revisión de algunos libros utilizados en los cursos de álgebra lineal I de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, esta revisión permitió comprender el tratamiento que se dio al concepto de determinante en los diversos textos y poderlo comparar con los contextos encontrados en el análisis histórico epistemológico, también se identificó tres tipos de enfoques utilizados: combinatorio, inductivo y axiomático. Con base en los resultados de la presente investigación se podrían plantear en futuras investigaciones, situaciones concretas que puedan ser desarrolladas en un curso de álgebra lineal I de la Universidad Industrial de Santander con miras a facilitar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes. 1
dc.description.abstractenglishThe study presented in the next document has as objective to develop a historical epistemological analysis of the concept of determinant that took place in the period of time between 1693 and 1812, on this time interval will be analyzed the work of some of the most important mathematicians from that age, such as Leibniz, Cramer, Bézout, Lagrange, Gauss, Vandermonde and Cauchy. The aim of this study is to establish which were the main historical and epistemological aspects that promoted the origin, development and the concept of determinant formalization, all this to see how it moved from being a tool used in application contexts to being a mathematical subject of study. After the historical and epistemological analysis was carried out a Bibliographic review of some books used during the courses of Algebra Lineal I in the Universidad Industrial de Santander; this review allowed to understand the treatment that was given to the concept of determinant in several texts and to be able to compare it with the contexts founded in the historical and epistemological analysis, also during this study were identify three kinds of approaches used: Combinatory, Inductive and Axiomatic. Based on the results of this study might be considered in future investigations, specific situations that could be developed in an Algebra Lineal I courses in the Universidad Industrial de Santander in the interest to make easier the students learning. 1
