dc.description.abstractenglish | This work presents in detail the design and construction of a prototype system of magnetic levitation that operates submerged in transformer oil; with the purpose of analyzing the susceptibility of the system as opposed to a drastic variation of viscosity, from air to oil. First the mathematical model of the system was obtained, the constants and parameter necessary to obtain the transfer function that describes the dynamic of the system where calculated, and later, a delay compensator was designed by using he root locus method. With simulation, it was shown that depending on the viscosity of means and levitating mass, a third order system can be approximated to one of inferior order using the concept of dominant closed loop poles. The simulation also allowed demonstrating, that the control system designed for the magnetic levitation prototype operating in oil turns inefficient for the same system operating in air with the equal initial conditions. The planes for constructing the prototype and the videos are shown for its operation in different viscosity conditions, which where obtained varying the temperature of the oil between 20 and 27 °C. The experimental results where compared to the ones obtained in simulation.
