dc.description.abstractLa tecnocumbia ha sido desde la década de 1990 hasta la actualidad uno de los fenómenos culturales que ha marcado la historia de los jóvenes y demás ciudadanos de los barrios populares de Bucaramanga, dotando a aquellos sectores de la sociedad una identidad artística que les ha ayudado a sobrevivir las desigualdades económicas y políticas que tradicionalmente han padecido. La presente investigación parte de la siguiente hipótesis: el comercio informal está relacionado directamente con el inicio y desarrollo de la tecnocumbia, pues este se ha encargado de la difusión y comercialización en los sectores populares de la ciudad de Bucaramanga. Además, la tecnocumbia hace parte de la cultura popular de la ciudad, y en torno a esta se ha generado expresiones que abarcan la danza y el barrismo. Por tanto, no se puede comprender al movimiento tecnocumbiero de manera singular, sino que es necesario tener en cuenta su influencia en estas manifestaciones. Para reconstruir la tecnocumbia como cultura popular de la ciudad de Bucaramanga se trabajó con distintas fuentes primarias como material hemerográfico, audiovisual, fotográfico y musical. Sin embargo, en esta investigación se le dio prevalencia a la historia oral y al desarrollo de entrevistas semiestructuras, pues el objetivo era un acercamiento a los actores sociales iniciadores y protagonistas de este género musical, y las distintas personas, en particular, comerciantes encargados de su difusión y distribución.
dc.description.abstractenglishFrom the 1990s to the present, tecnocumbia has been one of the cultural phenomena that has marked the history of young people and other citizens of the popular neighborhoods of Bucaramanga, giving those sectors of society an artistic identity that has helped them to survive the economic and political inequalities that they have traditionally suffered. The present investigation is based on the following hypothesis: informal commerce is directly related to the beginning and development of tecnocumbia, since it has been in charge of the diffusion and commercialization in the popular sectors of the city of Bucaramanga. In addition, tecnocumbia is part of the popular culture of the city, and expressions that include dance and barrismo have been generated around it. Therefore, the tecnocumbiero movement cannot be understood in a singular way, but it is necessary to take into account its influence on these manifestations. To reconstruct tecnocumbia as a popular culture in the city of Bucaramanga, different primary sources were used, such as hemerographic, audiovisual, photographic and musical material. However, in this research oral history and the development of semi-structured interviews prevailed, since the objective was an approach to the initiating social actors and protagonists of this musical genre, and the different people, in particular, merchants in charge of its diffusion and distribution.
