dc.description.abstractenglish | The project aims to design and develop a prototype of a switch-mode power supply, which allows the user to perform metal electrodeposition processes. The main function of this prototype is to follow a reference voltage defined by the user, under load variations, as long as it does not exceed the maximum current capacity. For the design and simulation of the device, LTSpice software was used, the maximum output values set are 12 [V] for the voltage and 4 [A] for the current, in addition, the prototype has a digital PID control which provides a stable voltage value at the output, this was done through an Arduino-based microcontroller; Python programming language was also used for the development of the graphical interface in order to visualize the voltage and current variables in a computer. It should be noted that the aforementioned programs are freeware "freeware", so they do not require an additional cost for the development of the prototype. Thus, compete with the other devices in the market, which present a higher cost because they use software with paid licenses. Additionally this prototype has a touch screen which allows to select the required voltage values and at the same time visualize them, as well as the current values. 3
