dc.description.abstractEl desarrollar el pensamiento aleatorio desde la Educación Básica Primaria ha sido asumido como un reto para los educadores. Pues a pesar de que las políticas educativas establecen la importancia de abordarlos desde temprana edad, esto no se refleja en las prácticas cotidianas del quehacer docente. Por lo que es crucial indagar y usar estrategias que permitan tanto su enseñanza como aprendizaje. Es así como desde la presente investigación se analiza el desarrollo del pensamiento aleatorio desde la competencia de resolución de problemas basada en el Método Singapur a partir de un experimento de enseñanza con estudiantes de tercer grado de Educación Básica Primaria de una Institución Educativa Pública de Bucaramanga. La muestra de este estudio son 25 educandos que oscilan entre la edad de 8 y 9 años. La metodología que se tiene para cumplir con este objetivo y los específicos, que centran su atención en las dificultades y fortalezas que tienen los estudiantes sobre la resolución de problemas en el pensamiento aleatorio, desde una prueba diagnóstica; el planteamiento y la ejecución de actividades que dan paso a la transición de lo Concreto a lo Pictórico (C-P) y de lo Pictórico a lo Abstracto (P-A), es cualitativa. Esto desde un experimento de enseñanza, el cual se encuentra enmarcado en el paradigma de investigación de diseño. Todo lo anterior, teniendo en cuenta los resultados y aspectos teóricos que presentan otros autores sobre el pensamiento aleatorio y sobre el Método Singapur, destacando principalmente que los resultados obtenidos al usar el material concreto permiten la representación gráfica y finalmente la abstracta desde la motivación por aprender una temática que es poco concebida como importante dentro del aula. Por ende, este trabajo contribuye al pensamiento matemático y su didáctica, principalmente desde la estadística y la probabilidad.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe development of randomized thinking from Primary Basic Education has been assumed as a challenge for educators. Although educational policies establish the importance of addressing them from an early age, this is not reflected in the daily practices of teaching. Therefore, it is crucial to investigate and use strategies that allow both teaching and learning. Thus, this research analyzes the development of random thinking from the competence of problem solving based on the Singapore Method from a teaching experiment with third grade students of Primary Basic Education of a Public Educational Institution of Bucaramanga. The sample of this study consists of 25 students between the ages of 8 and 9 years old. The methodology used to fulfill this objective and the specific ones, which focus on the difficulties and strengths that students have on problem solving in random thinking, from a diagnostic test; the approach and execution of activities that give way to the transition from the Concrete to the Pictorial (C-P) and from the Pictorial to the Abstract (P-A), is qualitative. This from a teaching experiment, which is framed in the design research paradigm. All the above, taking into account the results and theoretical aspects presented by other authors on random thinking and the Singapore Method, highlighting mainly that the results obtained by using the concrete material allow the graphic representation and finally the abstract from the motivation to learn a subject that is little conceived as important in the classroom. Therefore, this work contributes to mathematical thinking and its didactics, mainly from statistics and probability.
