dc.description.abstractEl proyecto SISACAD WEB llevado a cabo por la empresa ISIS LTDA, permite llevar a Internet algunos de los procesos que realiza el SISTEMA DE INFORMACIÓN PARA ADMINISTRACIÓN ACADÉMICA SISACAD dirigido a instituciones de educación superior. El Desarrollo del modulo Web permite a los aspirantes a ingresar a una universidad, consultar los diferentes planes que ésta ofrece y en el caso de optar por alguno de éstos, realizar su proceso de inscripción en línea y ubicar una fecha y hora para el examen de admisión respectivo según la institución. También permite a los estudiantes realizar el proceso de prematrícula, consultando horarios de las asignaturas y el docente a cargo de dichas asignaturas, así, después de seleccionar las asignaturas a matricular, el sistema está en capacidad de indicarle cuál es su valor de matrícula. Además les permite consultas de sus notas del semestre en curso y en cualquier momento, consultar las notas que han obtenido durante todo el transcurso en la Universidad. Los docentes podrán ingresar al sistema a registrar las notas de las asignaturas a su cargo en los respectivos cortes establecidos por la Universidad, además podrán, una vez registradas las notas, en cualquier momento consultar las listas de clase con las respectivas notas. Finalmente presenta a un usuario administrador las opciones mencionadas anteriormente para los diferentes usuarios, permitiendo además, consultar las horas de las entrevistas de una facultad especifica en un rango de fechas, un listado de los docentes que han o no registrado las notas en determinado corte para tener un control sobre ellos. Este proyecto contribuye a minimizar costos y tiempos en la Universidad y asimismo brinda comodidad a la comunidad universitaria y su entorno.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe SISACAD WEB project, which has been completed for the company ISIS LTDA. allows several of the processes necessary for the INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR THE ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION SISACAD to be brought to the internet and directed to a number of institutions of higher education. The design of this web module allows user to find a university, consult several different plans that they offer, and if they opt to choose a particular plan, they can complete the application process online and set a date and time to take the respective institution’s entrance exam. Students are also allowed to pre-enroll, look up course schedules and the professors teaching their courses. After selecting their study schedule the system is able to calculate what the value of their tuition will be. During the semester the system allows students to look up their grade to date as well as their current transcript of previous studies at that particular University. The professors can enter into the system and record the grades of their students for each class that they are teaching. Once they have recorded the grades they can go back and review the class grades at any time. Finally the system presents to an administrative user all of the previously mentioned options for the different types of users. It also allows them to look up; faculty meeting times over a specific period of time, a list of the professors that have or have not recorded their course grades for the purpose of keeping better track of them. This project helps to minimize the time and costs of the University at the same time bringing more convenient record keeping methods to the Academic community.
