dc.description.abstractLa permanente necesidad de contar con una herramienta adecuada que permita mantener actualizada, la información que debe alimentar cualquier sistema de transporte masivo urbano y la inminente Implementación de este sistema para el Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga, sugiere una urgente necesidad de diseñar un Sistema de Información de fácil mantenimiento y acceso, que sirva de soporte al eventual modelo por utilizar para el diseño y operación del sistema. En este libro se propone la metodología para obtener la información necesaria que alimentará el sistema de información geográfica describiendo cada una de las etapas necesarias para tal fin. Considerando las etapas necesarias para la recolección de la información, la primera etapa consistió en la elaboración de la zonificación para el Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga bajo criterios de movilidad. En la segunda etapa se realizó un estudio de los parámetros que afectan la generación, atracción, distribución y asignación de viajes como elementos claves en el diseño del instrumento de recolección de la información (encuesta). La tercera etapa consistió en el diseño del proceso muestral, el cual incluye la definición del tamaño de la muestra y el tipo de muestreo a utilizar. En la cuarta y última etapa se diseñó y alimentó el sistema de información geográfico cuya implementación básica cumplía los requerimientos de la fase I del proyecto. Cabe notar que la metodología fue aplicada en cuatro de las cuarenta y dos zonas de la zonificación propuesta, buscando con ello verificar y perfeccionar el proceso mediante una aplicación práctica de este.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn order to supply the up today information required for any model which pretends to simulate the massive urban transportation operation, it is necessary to count with an efficient, totally integrated and interactive tool, to allow the estimation of the travel demand projections and its operational design. The Geographic Information System, GIS, has shown itself to adjust perfectly to that goal. With our work, we pretend to have conceptualized, designed and established a methodology to gather, organized and filed the required information to food the GIS and to make possible its easy and efficient maintenance and utilization for the permanent calibration and adjustment on any eventual model to be used. The job was planed to be executed in four stages; the first one consisting in making the zoning of the metropolitan area under mobility approaches. The second stage was carried out by establishing some parameters that traditionally affect the generation, attraction, distribution and trips assignment. The third stage consisted on the design of the sampling process that includes the definition of its sized and the sampling type to use. Finally in a fourth stage, we designed and fed the GIS and with an elementary implementation for four zones, we hope to have completed the requirements of this first phase of the project.
