dc.description.abstractSe espera que el presente proyecto de grado sirva como guía de acción para futuros docentes y padres de familia interesados en incentivar la lectura en los niños. Para ello, se plantea una reflexión importante: enseñar a leer no es suficiente para generar ciudadanos lectores con sentido crítico; es necesario cultivar un gusto genuino por la lectura, así como habilitar espacios de conversación donde los estudiantes puedan preguntar, argumentar, debatir y discutir libremente. Debido a que las instituciones de educación básica se concentran demasiado en el desempeño escolar, sin prestar atención a las reacciones que los niños y los jóvenes presentan ante la lectura, pierden la oportunidad de cautivar sus mentes mediante diversos libros y textos. En consecuencia, la acción se transforma en una actividad académica más, carente de sentido y profundidad para los alumnos. Teniendo en cuenta que leer es fundamental para la educación y el desarrollo de las personas a lo largo de la vida, las instituciones educativas deben replantear la manera en que promueven esta práctica. Los objetivos no deberían limitarse ni enfocarse en la calidad de las lecturas, sino en las emociones positivas que generan en cada alumno. De este modo, podrán asegurar que los niños vuelvan a acercarse a los libros por cuenta propia y que, al tiempo, puedan perfeccionar sus habilidades de comprensión de manera progresiva, impulsados por una motivación propia que les permita asumir el esfuerzo con mayor entusiasmo.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis undergraduate project is intended to serve as a guide for future teachers and parents interested in encouraging reading among children. To that end, it proposes an essential reflection: teaching children how to read is not enough to foster critically minded readers; it is necessary to cultivate a genuine appreciation for reading and to create spaces for conversation where students can freely ask questions, argue, debate, and discuss. Because basic education institutions tend to focus excessively on academic performance without paying attention to children's and adolescents' responses to reading, they miss the opportunity to captivate their minds through diverse books and texts. As a result, reading becomes just another academic task, lacking meaning and depth for the students. Considering that reading is fundamental to education and personal development throughout life, educational institutions must rethink how they promote this practice. The goals should not be limited to or centered on the quality of the readings, but rather on the positive emotions they evoke in each student. In this way, children will be more likely to return to books on their own and progressively improve their comprehension skills, driven by an intrinsic motivation that allows them to embrace the effort with greater enthusiasm.
