dc.description.abstractEl buen funcionamiento energético que se debe dar a las empresas (en este caso la división de Bienestar Universitario de la Universidad Industrial de Santander) se fundamenta en la puesta en práctica de un Modelo de Gestión Integral de la Energía (MGIE), a partir de un Sistema de Gestión Integral de la Energía (SGIE). El modelo dispuesto por la Unidad de Planeación Minero Energética (UPME) y el Instituto Colombiano para el Desarrollo de la Ciencia y la Tecnología (Colciencias), está basado en conjuntos de procedimientos y actividades que se pueden integrar al modelo de organización de Bienestar Universitario de la UIS. Esto sirve como guía para su implementación en las diferentes sub-áreas donde el consumo energético es muy alto. En el edificio de Bienestar Universitario se implementó la caracterización energética en términos sectoriales estratégicos, para lograr la sostenibilidad energética y ambiental de los procesos productivos. Se identificaron los equipos y máquinas que pueden tener un alto impacto en el consumo de energía, agrupandolos por sub-áreas como refrigeración/congelación, aires acondicionados, equipos de oficina, motores y otros; con el fin de hallar de forma eficiente los mayores causales de consumo en el edificio Bienestar Universitario. Esta caracterización energética se realiza con el fin de visualizar la situación energética actual del edificio, para luego definir los puntos de ahorro más representativos y por ultimo proponer soluciones para el manejo, uso eficiente y racional de la energía en el edificio Bienestar Universitario de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS).
dc.description.abstractenglishThe good energy performance that should be given to companies (in this case the Welfare division of the Industrial University of Santander) currently consists of the integration of a Model of Integrated Energy Management (MGIE), to implement a Integrated Management System for Energy (SGIE). The model provided by the Unidad de Planeación Minero Energética (UPME) and the Instituto Colombiano para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (Colciencias), which is based on sets of procedures and activities that can be integrated to the model of organization of the Welfare division of UIS, this serves as a guide for implementation in the different sub-areas where energy consumption is very high. In the Welfare divsion building, the energy characterization was implemented in strategic sectoral terms to achieve energy and environmental sustainability of production processes; the equipment and machines that can have a major impact on energy consumption were identified; This sectorizacion in order to efficiently and quickly find the biggest causes of consumption in the Welfare building of the university. This energetic characterization was performed in order to visualize the current energy situation of the building, and then define the most representative points and finally propose saving management solutions, efficient and rational use of energy in the welfare building of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS).
