dc.description.abstractEsta tesis presenta los resultados obtenidos de una investigación de tipo cualitativo, con enfoque investigación acción, cuyo objetivo fue determinar la manera en que una secuencia didáctica mejora los niveles de lectura mediante el uso del artículo periodístico en estudiantes de quinto grado de una institución pública de Bucaramanga; el cual surgió del análisis de pruebas estandarizadas donde se evidenció los bajos resultados obtenidos en el área de Lengua Castellana a nivel internacional, nacional y local, también una prueba diagnóstica que mostró las condiciones reales de la población estudiantil seleccionada; además se realizó una entrevista semiestructurada a docentes de básica primaria de los grados primero a cuarto encargados de la asignatura, para reconocer las concepciones de lectura, las estrategias utilizadas para la comprensión y la manera de evaluarla. Del análisis de estos instrumentos surge la necesidad del diseño e implementación de una secuencia didáctica que aportó desde la teoría estrategias de lectura que permitieron mejorar los tres niveles de comprensión lectora y en la cual se utilizó artículos periodísticos del medio de comunicación impreso de mayor circulación en el departamento de Santander, llamado Vanguardia Liberal; lecturas relacionadas con el fútbol, deporte favorito de la mayoría de estudiantes; al igual que temáticas referentes al departamento, las cuales aportaron al fortalecimiento de la identidad cultural. Finalizada la investigación se evidenciaron mejoras en la comprensión lectora, además se logró la apropiación de diversos saberes relacionados con el departamento de Santander que es el lugar de origen o residencia de los estudiantes, mediante el uso de diferentes estrategias de aula que permitieron un aprendizaje significativo y enriquecimiento de la práctica pedagógica.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis thesis presents the results obtained from a research of qualitative type, with an action research approach, whose objective was determine the way in which a didactic sequence improves reading levels through the use of the newspaper article in fifth grade students of a public institution in Bucaramanga; which came out from the analysis of standardized tests which showed the low results obtained in the area of spanish language at international, national and local level, also a diagnostic test that demonstrated the actual conditions of the selected student population ; in addition, a semi-structured interview was conducted to primary school teachers of grades first to fourth in charge of the subject, to recognize the reading conceptions strategies used for understanding and how to evaluate it. From the analysis of these instruments arises the need for the design and implementation of a didactic sequence that contributed from the theory reading strategies that allowed to improve the three levels of reading comprehension and in which were used newspapers articles of the most circulated printed media in the department of Santander, called Vanguardia Liberal; readings related to soccer, most students 'favorite sport; just like topics related to the department, which contributed to the strengthening of cultural identity. After the investigation, improvements were in reading comprehension, in addition, the appropriation of diverses knowledges related to the department of Santander which is the place of origin or residence of the students, through the use of different classroom strategies that allowed meaningful learning and enrichment of pedagogical practice.
