dc.description.abstractA nivel nacional en ciudades intermedias de Colombia como es el caso de Bucaramanga no existe una distribución equitativa del espacio vial dándole prioridad a los vehículos motorizados y dejando de lado los modos de transporte sostenible, esto conlleva a generar un incremento de vehículos motorizados generando un aumento en la tasa de siniestralidad y congestión. La presente investigación analizó las ventajas y desventajas que trae consigo la implementación del concepto de Calles Completas en un caso de estudio aplicado a un corredor de la malla vial de Bucaramanga el cual fue seleccionado a partir de variables identificadas mediante una revisión de la literatura de diferentes casos y estudios a nivel internacional y nacional, posteriormente se realizó una simulación en el software AIMSUN antes y después de la aplicación del concepto, en esta simulación se revisaron los NDS y el flujo vehicular del corredor antes y después de la aplicación del concepto. Las modificaciones que se le realizaron al corredor muestran un impacto positivo producto de la redistribución del flujo vehicular, generando mejores condiciones de accesibilidad, seguridad y equidad a los modos de transporte sostenible.
dc.description.abstractenglishAt the national level, in intermediate cities of Colombia, such as Bucaramanga, there is no equitable distribution of road space prioritizing motorized vehicles and neglecting sustainable modes of transport. This leads to an increase in motorized vehicles, generating a boost in the rate of accidents and congestion. This research analyzed the advantages and disadvantages that the implementation of the concept of Complete Streets brings in a case study applied to a corridor of the Bucaramanga road network which was selected from identified variables though a review of the literature of different cases and studies at the international and national level. Later, a simulation was carried out in the AIMSUN software before and after the application of the concept. In this simulation, the LS and the traffic flow of the corridor were reviewed before and after the application of the concept. The modifications that were made to the corridor show a positive impact as a result of the redistribution of the vehicular flow, by generating better conditions of accessibility, security and equity to sustainable transport modes.
