dc.description.abstractLa década de 1950 en Colombia estuvo marcada por el establecimiento político del régimen militar representado inicialmente por Gustavo Rojas Pinilla y posteriormente con la Junta Militar para dar paso después al Frente Nacional en 1958. Además, también se destacaron dinámicas de desarrollo urbano, conflictos sociales y crisis económicas entre otras transformaciones significativas. Estos eventos y tendencias influyeron en la historia urbana del país y tuvieron un impacto duradero en la sociedad colombiana. Por lo tanto, el presente trabajo busca analizar la manera en que el periódico El Tiempo fue registrando con el pasar de los años las noticias sobre temas urbanos en el país. Su desarrollo se estructura en dos apartados: en el primero se abordan los registros extraídos de El Tiempo donde se sistematizan para su análisis y respectivas conclusiones. El segundo apartado se dedica al acercamiento de la prensa, la política y cuestión urbana colombiana; entendiendo la relación compleja a propósito del periodo de La Violencia y la censura.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe 1950s in Colombia were marked by the political establishment of the military regime initially represented by Gustavo Rojas Pinilla and later with the Military Junta to later give way to the National Front in 1958. In addition, dynamics of urban development, social conflicts and economic crises among other significant transformations. These events and trends influenced the country's urban history and had a lasting impact on Colombian society. Therefore, this work seeks to analyze the way in which the newspaper El Tiempo recorded news on urban issues in the country over the years. Its development is structured in two sections: the first addresses the records extracted from El Tiempo where they are systematized for analysis and respective conclusions. The second section is dedicated to the approach of the press, politics and Colombian urban issues; understanding the complex relationship regarding the period of La Violencia, censorship and urban development.
