dc.description.abstractenglish | The current productions present a stagnation in the development of crops due to the low fertilization efficiency, for which the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of including zeolite nanoparticles in the fertilization of Medicago sativa (alfalfa) plants in an intensive greenhouse production system. A completely randomized experimental design was used. The treatments evaluated were: control or witness, 0.05gZ, 0.1gZ, 3, 6 and 9 g of fertilizer per experimental unit, 2 doses of nanoparticles of (zeolite) were applied to each treatment, in concentrations of 0.05 and 0.1 g per experimental unit. When applying higher doses of zeolite nanoparticles as well as fertilizer, the highest recorded values were obtained for biomass production on a dry basis, 54737 kg-1ha-1year-1 and 53137 kg-1ha-1year-1. On the other hand, the protein concentration (%PB) was influenced by the application of zeolite nanoparticles, as shown by the treatments (F3+0.1gNZ) and (CO+0.1gNZ) which presented values of 34.75 and 34.05%, compared to the treatments (CO) and (F3) with values of 28.04% and 28.20%. Regarding the energy intake, no significant differences were evidenced, being the highest value registered of 4113.21 kcal/kg for the control treatment, and the lowest value registered of 4007.22 kcal/kg was presented by the F3+0.1gNZ treatment. With less fertilization and greater application of zeolite nanoparticles, the best results were obtained in nitrogen recovery efficiency, as evidenced in the treatments (F3+0.1gNZ) and (F3+0.05gNZ) with values of 138.2% and 128.33% compared to treatments (F6), (F9) which registered lower values of 45.36%, 45.83%. Regarding carbon capture (CC), the best results were presented by the treatments (F9+0.05gNZ) and (F6+0.1gNZ) with values of 23,907 t-1ha-1year and 23,296 t-1 ha-1 year, compared to the control treatment (CO) which had a value of 10,653 t-1 ha-1 year.
