dc.description.abstractEl presente proyecto de arte surgió a partir de una cualidad personal que siempre estuvo presente en mi persona de forma pasiva, representando una vulnerabilidad de la cual tenía desconocimiento. La inocencia, una cualidad que a primera vista sugiere algo bueno generalmente relacionado a la niñez, representa consecuencias negativas en mí a la hora de relacionarme con los demás. Esta situación, me llevó a reflexionar sobre mí y los diferentes tratos que he recibido a lo largo de mi vida, lo cual desencadenó un deseo de representación en el arte. Es por ello, que en medio de mi búsqueda de representación llegué al cordero blanco, un elemento simbólico usado a lo largo de la historia del arte como la imagen de lo puro, sin mancha alguna e ingenuidad, palabras relacionadas directamente a la inocencia. Lo anterior da como resultado una pieza de arte textil en forma de manta que toma al cordero blanco como protagonista y busca reflejar de manera metafórica la vulnerabilidad de una persona inocente. Implementando variadas técnicas de costura como el bordado y el patchwork, así como diferentes puntadas tanto a máquina como a mano, se crea una obra que combina la ternura del animal, la suavidad de la tela y los colores pasteles con lo trágico del maltrato a un animal indefenso, reflejado no solo en la pieza sino también en su montaje con una tensión que sugiere el sufrimiento de un animal atado. Con una estética que se consideraría bonita y tierna, se busca crear un contraste visual que, si bien a primera vista no es notable, incita al espectador a seguir observando hasta encontrar una reflexión alrededor de los elementos que no se esperaría encontrar en la obra.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis art project emerged from a personal quality that was always passively present within me, representing a vulnerability I was unaware of. Innocence, a quality that at first glance suggests something good, generally associated with childhood, represents negative consequences for me when it comes to relating to others. This personal issue led me to reflect on myself and the different ways I have been treated throughout my life, which triggered a desire for representation in art. Therefore, in the midst of my search for representation, I arrived at the white lamb, a symbolic element used throughout history as an image of purity, untaintedness, and naiveté words directly related to innocence. The above results in a piece of textile art in the form of a blanket that takes the white lamb as its protagonist and seeks to metaphorically reflect the vulnerability of an innocent person. By implementing a variety of sewing techniques such as embroidery and patchwork, as well as different stitches, both machine and hand, the work is created that combines the tenderness of the animal, the softness of the fabric, and the pastel colors with the tragedy of the mistreatment of a defenseless animal, reflected not only in the piece itself but also in its assembly, with a tension that suggests the suffering of a tied animal. With an aesthetic that would be considered "pretty" and tender, the work seeks to create a visual contrast that, while not noticeable at first glance, encourages the viewer to continue observing until they find a reflection on the elements they would not expect to find in the work.
