dc.description.abstractCon la primera participación del Atlético Bucaramanga en el fútbol profesional colombiano hacia 1949, empezaron en la ciudad a efectuarse cambios en las formas de percepción de este deporte. Tales cambios de manera paulatina fueron repercutiendo en las alternativas de ocupación del tiempo libre y en las opciones de distracción y recreación propias de los habitantes de Bucaramanga hacia mediados de siglo. El presente trabajo de investigación tiene por objeto aportar al conocimiento de la historia del Club Atlético Bucaramanga durante el periodo que va de 1948 a 1978. El propósito central es el de analizar bajo la óptica de la historia social un periodo del pasado de esta institución a partir de testimonios registrados en periódicos, revistas y a través de las vivencias de algunos de sus protagonistas. dc.description.abstractenglishWith the first participation of the Athletic Bucaramanga in the Colombian professional soccer league towards 1949, changes in the forms of perception of this sport began in the city to take place. Such changes of gradual way were repelling in the alternatives of occupation of the free time and in the options of own distraction and recreation of the inhabitants of Bucaramanga towards half-full of century. The present work of investigation intends to contribute to the knowledge of the history of the Athletic Club Bucaramanga during the period that goes from 1948 to 1978. The central intention is the one to analyze under the optics of social history a period of the past of this institution from testimonies registered in newspapers, magazines and through the experiences of some of its protagonists. Beyond the importance that as sport phenomenon reached the equipment from its beginnings, one looks for to know - the minus in part its impact on the bumanguesa society from the social point of view and the changes that this exerted in the ways and the alternatives of occupation of the free time. For such aim, it has been used as theoretical frame of reference some of the concepts raised by the European sociologist Norbert Elias, respect to the sport, free time and the game.
