dc.description.abstractEn este trabajo de monografía se ha querido desarrollar el tema del artículo publicado en la revista The Mathematical Inteligencer en el aí\o 1992 por los matemáticos: C. Alexander, l. Giblin y D. Newton, titulado: Symmetry Groups of Fractals, en el cual se relacionan dos áreas que han representado un importante papel en las matemáticas y en las ciencias modernas: la geometría y el álgebra. En el primer capítulo se encuentra el desarrollo de los temas básicos para abordar los resultados presentados en el artículo, al parecer desde el surgimiento de la teoría de grupos solo se han estudiado estas propiedades en objetos de la geometría euclidiana y podemos asegurar que este trabajo representa los primeros hallazgos encontrados en la geometría fractal. En el segundo capítulo encontrarás una pequeña introspección en el campo de la geometría fractal y el análisis de los grupos de simetrías de algunos fractales clásicos como: El conjunto de Cantor, la curva y la isla de Koch y el triángulo y la carpeta de Sierpinski, también una pequeña introducción a la más grande familia de fractales: los conjuntos de Mandelbrot, conjuntos de Mandelbar y conjuntos de Julia. En el tercer y cuarto capítulo se encuentra la traducción y el análisis del artículo respectivamente donde encontramos los resultados del estudio de los grupos de simetrías de los conjuntos de Mandelbrot, Mandelbar y Julia generalizados. Esta monografía incluye como anexo las fotocopias del original del artículo. Para un mejor entendimiento de este tema es necesario que el lector posea conocimientos básicos de álgebra y geometría moderna.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis monograph has been worked to develop the topic of the article published in the magazine The Mathematical Inteligencer in the year 1992 for the mathematicians: C. Alexander, I. Giblin and D. Newton, titled: Symmetry Groups of Fractals, in which are related two areas that have represented an important paper in the mathematics and in the modem sciences: the geometry and the algebra. In the first part finds the development of the basic topics to approach the results presented in the article, apparently from the begining of the theory of groups only have been studied these properties in objects of the geometry euclidiana and can be assure that this studypresents the first discoveries found in the geometry fradal. The second chapter presents a small introspection in the field of the geometry fractal and the analysis of the simmetry groups of some classic fractales as: Cantor's set, the curve and the island of Koch and the triangle and the file of Sierpinski, also a small introduction to the biggest fractales family: the Mandelbrot's sets, the Mandelbar's sets and the Julia's sets. Finally, in the third and fourth chapter the are translation and the analysis of the article respectively, where will find the results of the study of the simmetry groups of the Mandelbrot's sets, Mandelbar's sets and generalized Julia's sets. This monograph includes the photocopies of the original of the article. It is necessary that the reader possesses basic knowledge of algebra and modern geometry for a better understanding of this topic.
