dc.description.abstractEste trabajo representa la compilación de los resultados obtenidos en las actividades realizadas durante la práctica empresarial en la Oficina de Planeación de la Universidad Industrial de Santander y cuyas etapas comprenden desde la recopilación, procesamiento y digitalización de información hasta la creación de topologías útiles para el montaje del prototipo de Sistema de Información Geográfica - UIS. Además, en este documento se presenta como aporte una metodología creada, evaluada y reestructurada por los autores durante las labores de levantamiento y actualización de información en el Edificio de Administración del campus central de la UIS. El alcance de este aporte es el de servir de apoyo en la realización de proyectos similares por parte de diferentes entidades, que además pueden contar con el manual para la normalización y estandarización de la cartografía de la UIS, el cual fue elaborado por parte de la Oficina de Planeación como complemento a este proyecto y a la continuación de la elaboración del prototipo de Sistema de Información Geográfica para el campus central de la Universidad.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis work represents the compilation of the results obtained in the activities made during the enterprise practice at the Office of Planning of the Industrial University of Santander and whose stages include from the compilation, processing and digitalization of information until the creation of topologies useful for the assembly of the prototype of GIS - UIS. In addition, in this document one appears as it contributes a methodology created, evaluated and reconstructed by the authors during the workings of rise and update of information in the Administration Building of the central campus of the UIS. The reach of this contribution is the one to serve as support in the accomplishment of similar projects on the part of different organizations, that in addition they can count on manual for the normalization and the standardization of the cartography of the UIS, which was elaborated by the Office of Planning as complement to this project and the continuation of the elaboration of the prototype of GIS for the central campus of the University.
