dc.description.abstractEste trabajo constituye un primer intento por consolidar unas bases sólidas y confiables para la estructuración de una asignatura electiva con gran acogida en países industrializados. Esta asignatura llamada dinámica automotriz o vehicular, proporciona los elementos básicos utilizados típicamente por los fabricantes de vehículos automotrices para modelar, analizar y evaluar su comportamiento dinámico en términos del confort, desempeño y estabilidad. Se da a conocer la mecánica de las llantas neumáticas, la importancia de la dinámica lateral para la caracterización de los vehículos, la relación con la sensibilidad humana a las vibraciones verticales, entre otras. El proyecto se divide en tres diferentes módulos, el primer módulo es una recopilación bibliográfica de la teoría envuelta en la dinámica vehicular basada en los libros de WONG, J. Y. Theory of ground vehicles y GILLESPIE, T. D. Fundamentals of vehicle dynamics; el segundo módulo consta del diseño de ocho prácticas de laboratorio similares a las realizadas en diversas universidades donde ya esta implementada la asignatura; y el tercer módulo es una explicación del software didáctico multimedia realizado como complemento de la teoría expuesta en el primer módulo y en donde se encuentra todos los conceptos manejados. Se explica a fondo la teoría de la mecánica de llantas neumáticas, las características de rendimiento de los vehículos terrestres, las características de maniobrabilidad de los vehículos terrestres, las características de manejo del vehículo y el fenómeno de vuelco.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis work is the first attempt to consolidate solid and trustworthy bases to develop an elective course that has great demand at industrialized countries. This course is named Vehicle Dynamics and provides the basic elements used typically by the automotive manufacturers for modeling, to analyze and to evaluate the dynamic behavior in terms of comfort, performance and stability. In this course are given the mechanics of pneumatic tires, the importance of lateral dynamics, the relation of human sensibility due to vertical vibrations, and so on. The project is divided into three different chapters, the first chapter is a theoretical compilation of the theory involved at vehicles dynamics based on the books of WONG, J. Y. Theory of ground vehicles and GILLESPIE, T. D. Fundamentals of vehicle dynamics; the second chapter consists on the design of eight laboratory experiences similarly to the experiences realized at different universities where this course is implemented; and the third chapter is the explanation of the complementary software in which is included all the concepts developed on the first chapter. It is deeply explained the theory of pneumatic tires, the performance characteristics of ground vehicles, the steering characteristics of ground vehicles, the ride characteristics of vehicles and roll over phenomena.
