dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de grado tiene como objetivo principal comparar algunas obras literarias de William Shakespeare con la serie televisiva Breaking Bad, para identificar cómo narrativa, temática y multimodalmente la televisión, de manera consciente o inconsciente, adopta ciertos modelos literarios. La investigación se basa en los aportes de los Estudios Culturales que permiten tomar dos producciones culturales con distinta materialidad y tiempo de creación, y reconocerlas como artes significativas dentro de una cultura común. El alcance metodológico con el que se realiza el análisis es de tipo correlacional, dado que se indaga por la relación entre los aspectos estudiados; el método es inductivo y la naturaleza de la fuente es de tipo documental y audiovisual. Su procedimiento analítico se basa en la categorización de manifestaciones análogas de un mismo fenómeno cultural en los objetos de estudio. Por último, el análisis confirma la hipótesis de que las cuestiones morales presentados en la obra de Shakespeare en el siglo XVI isabelino son similares a aquellas expresadas en la serie televisiva Breaking Bad producida en el siglo XXI, pues al hacer la comparación se encontraron varios puntos en común como lo son El anhelo del poder y La ejecución del poder, El deberser mujer y las Relaciones amorosas destructivas, donde la moral estuvo presente en diversas situaciones. 1
dc.description.abstractenglishThe main objective of this bachelor thesis works with the television series Breaking Bad, in order to identify how narratively, thematically and multimodally television, consciously or unconsciously, adopts certain literary models. The research is based on the contributions of Cultural Studies that allow us to take two very distinct cultural productions differing in their narratives and time of creation and then recognize them as significant arts within a common culture. The methodological scope with which the analysis is carried out is correlational, since it investigates the relationship between the aspects studied; the method is inductive and the nature of the source is documentary and audiovisual. Its analytical procedure is based on the categorization of analogous manifestations of the same cultural phenomenon in the objects of study. Finally, the analysis confirms the hypothesis that the moral issues presented in Shakespeare's work in the Elizabethan 16th century are similar to those expressed in the television series Breaking Bad produced in the 21st century, since when making the comparison, several common points such as The longing for power and The execution of power, The mustbe a woman and Destructive love relationships, where issues of morality were present in various situations. 3
