dc.description.abstractEste proyecto busca analizar la comprensión que pueden desarrollar del concepto de círculo estudiantes de Licenciatura en Matemáticas de una universidad pública de Colombia. En particular, cuando exploran la construcción de dicho concepto en la geometría Euclidiana y en la geometría del Taxista fundamentados en el concepto de distancia. Para esto se formula el diseño y desarrollo de la primera y tercera componente del Ciclo de Investigación de la Teoría APOE realizando una descomposición genética hipotética e implementando un taller y entrevista con las cuales se busca conocer las estructuras desarrolladas por parte de los estudiantes sobre los conceptos de distancia y círculo. Este trabajo se centra en el concepto de círculo como elemento importante de la geometría Euclidiana, se busca analizar la comprensión que desarrollan estudiantes de último semestre sobre este objeto matemático, al abordarlo desde dos geometrías. Por tanto, se busca dar respuesta a las siguientes cuestiones: ¿Qué estructuras y mecanismos mentales construyen estudiantes de Licenciatura en Matemáticas sobre el concepto de círculo al estudiarlo desde la geometría Euclidiana y la geometría del Taxista? Por tanto, en este trabajo se aborda el siguiente objetivo: Analizar las estructuras y mecanismos mentales que construyen estudiantes de licenciatura en matemáticas sobre el concepto de círculo en la geometría del taxista.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis project seeks to analyze the understanding that students studying a degree in Mathematics at a public university in Colombia can develop of the concept of a circle. In particular, when they explore the construction of said concept in Euclidean geometry and in the geometry of the Taxicab based on the concept of distance. For this, the design and development of the first and third components of the APOS Theory Research Cycle is formulated, carrying out a hypothetical genetic decomposition and implementing a workshop and interview with which we seek to know the structures developed by the students on the concepts of distance and circle. This work focuses on the concept of a circle as an important element of Euclidean geometry; it seeks to analyze the understanding that final semester students develop about this mathematical object, by approaching it from two geometries. Therefore, we seek to answer the following questions: What mental structures and mechanisms do Bachelor of Mathematics students build on the concept of a circle when studying it from Euclidean geometry and Taxicab geometry? Therefore, this work addresses the following objective: Analyze the mental structures and mechanisms that undergraduate mathematics students build on the concept of circle in Taxicab geometry.
