dc.description.abstractSe realizó un estudio cualitativo y cuantitativo de la composición florística, diversidad y estructura de un bosque natural secundario ubicado en la Amazonia Colombiana, en la Vereda Chaparral Bajo, Municipio El Retorno, Departamento del Guaviare. En el bosque se muestreó un área de 1,76 ha ubicada a 196 m s. n. m. Se establecieron cinco conglomerados de 3.535 m2 cada uno, los cuales se dividieron en 25 subparcelas circulares de 707 m2, de acuerdo con la metodología del Inventario Forestal Nacional para Colombia. Se censaron todos los individuos según las categorías diamétricas (brinzal, latizal, fustal y fustal grande). Se registraron 806 individuos, representados en 50 especies y 30 familias botánicas en el total de los conglomerados. Las especies maderables con mayor Índice de Valor de Importancia - IVI en este bosque fueron Cedrelinga cateniformis (Ducke) Ducke (34,36), seguida por Pseudolmedia laevigata Trécul (16,66) y Terminalia amazonia (J, F, Gmel,) Exell (16,36). El bosque presentó un patrón típico de bosque húmedo tropical, al concentrar mayor cantidad de individuos en las clases diamétricas inferiores. La estructura vertical mostró cuatro estratos, el estrato arbóreo bajo presentó la mayor cantidad de individuos. Se estimó el volumen de madera en pie a los árboles en la categoría fustal y fustal grande en el área muestreada, se clasificó en madera dura y madera blanda, para calcular el volumen comercial de las principales especies del mercado. Con los datos obtenidos se proyectó una matriz para asegurar el manejo forestal sostenible que está constituido por seis líneas estratégicas: 1) productos forestales maderables comerciales, 2) productos forestales maderables no comerciales, 3) productos forestales no maderables, 4) producción a partir de servicios ecosistémicos, 5) producción en áreas de uso múltiple y 6) preservación y conservación, todas articuladas con la educación para el manejo forestal sostenible.
dc.description.abstractenglishA qualitative and quantitative study of the floristic composition, diversity and structure of a secondary natural forest located in the Colombian Amazon, in the Vereda Chaparral Bajo, El Retorno Municipality, Department of Guaviare, was carried out. In the forest, an area of 1.76 was sampled, located at 196 m a.s.l. n. m. Five conglomerates of 3.535 m2 each were established, which were divided into 25 circular subplots of 707 m2, according to the methodology of the National Forest Inventory for Colombia. All the individuals were censused according to the diameter categories (sapling, latizal, stem and large stem). 806 individuals were registered, represented in 50 species and 30 botanical families in the total of the conglomerates. The timber species with the highest Importance Value Index - IVI in this forest were Cedrelinga cateniformis (Ducke) Ducke (34.36), followed by Pseudolmedia laevigata Trécul (16.66) and Terminalia amazonia (J, F, Gmel,) Exell (16.36). The forest presented a typical pattern of tropical humid forest, concentrating a greater number of individuals in the lower diameter classes. The vertical structure showed four strata, the low tree stratum presented the largest number of individuals. The volume of standing wood was estimated for the trees in the stem and large stem category in the sampled area, it was classified into hardwood and softwood, to calculate the commercial volume of the main market species. With the data obtained, a matrix was projected to ensure sustainable forest management that is made up of six strategic lines: 1) commercial timber forest products, 2) non-commercial timber forest products, 3) non-timber forest products, 4) production from ecosystem services, 5) production in multiple use areas and 6) preservation and conservation, all articulated with education for sustainable forest management.
