dc.description.abstractLos mitos trágicos se presentan en la literatura para ser un espejo de la eternidad, gracias a la atemporalidad que maneja cada conflicto propuesto por los griegos y las cuestiones que invitan a ser indagadas en escenarios contemporáneos, como lo son los límites de la autoridad y la libertad moral. Por esta razón, este trabajo se fundamenta bajo el cotejo de Antígona, de Sófocles, y la novela Sostiene Pereira, de Antonio Tabucchi, con el propósito de demostrar una reescritura de la obra sofoclea en un contexto y un dilema tratado dos milenios después por Tabucchi. Para efectos de la investigación se empleó el método cualitativo de la literatura comparada, planteado por Núria Perpinyà, en el que se formularon tres ejes de equivalencia: primero, el contexto histórico y social; segundo, las relaciones arquetípicas (desde la perspectiva de Carl Gustav Jung) en seis parejas de personajes para indagar su ethos y, tercero, la muerte como tópico y puente entre las dos obras. Con todo esto, se demostró la adaptabilidad que posee Antígona para ser vista desde diferentes épocas y por diferentes autores, a decir Antonio Tabucchi y darle vida al pensamiento de Georges Steiner (1984): “Los griegos nos dieron los mitos que narran, por primera y última vez, la verdad del hombre”.
dc.description.abstractenglishTragic myths are presented in literature to be a mirror of eternity, thanks to the timelessness that manages each conflict proposed by the Greeks and the issues that invite to be investigated in contemporary scenarios, such as the limits of authority and moral freedom. For this reason, this paper is based on the comparison of Antigone, by Sophocles, and the novel Sostiene Pereira, by Antonio Tabucchi, with the purpose of demonstrating a rewriting of the Sophoclean play in a context and a dilemma dealt with two millennia later by Tabucchi. For the purposes of the research, the qualitative method of comparative literature, proposed by Núria Perpinyà, was used, in which three axes of equivalence were formulated: first, the historical and social context; second, the archetypal relationships (from Carl Gustav Jung's perspective) in six pairs of characters to investigate their ethos and, third, death as a topic and bridge between the two works. With all this, the adaptability of Antigone to be seen from different times and by different authors was demonstrated, according to Antonio Tabucchi and giving life to the thought of Georges Steiner (1984): “The Greeks gave us the myths that narrate, for the first and last time, the truth of man”.
