dc.description.abstractLa década del treinta y del cuarenta del siglo XX en Colombia, marcó un punto de referencia importante para el partido liberal y sus pretensiones de poder. Se constituyó lo que los historiadores han denominado la República Liberal. En este lapso de tiempo que va desde 1930 hasta 1945 se gestaron grandes transformaciones en los ámbitos políticos, económicos y sociales que llevaron al choque de intereses entre las diferentes facciones de las élites nacionales. Estos choques o confrontaciones y polémicas se harán evidentes en las diferentes páginas de periódicos, entre ellos Vanguardia Liberal. La presente pasantía de investigación se inserta en este contexto y pretende rastrear, a través de las páginas del periódico, todo tipo de confrontación o intercambio verbal entre los líderes liberales, que en última instancia controlan el periódico, y las respuestas que se generan con el fin de dirigir una orientación política determinada a los copartidarios. Hay que aclarar que las polémicas y confrontaciones políticas que se manifiestan en el periódico Vanguardia Liberal no sólo incluyen a su enemigo el conservatismo, sino que también incluyen mensajes a sus propios partidarios y los disidentes del liberalismo. Así pues el espectro de confrontaciones queda expresado en múltiples frentes que constituirán la defensa del régimen liberal en las coyunturas electorales. .
dc.description.abstractenglishThe decade of the thirty and of forty in the XX century in Colombia, it marked a point of important reference for the liberal party and their pretenses of power. That was constituted that the historians have denominated the Liberal Republic. In this lapse of time that it goes from 1930 to 1945 big transformations they were gestated in the political, economic and social environments that took to the crash of interests among the different factions of the national elites. These crashes or confrontations and polemic they will become evident in the different pages of newspapers, among them Liberal Vanguard. The present investigation internship is inserted in this context and it seeks to rake, through the pages of the newspaper, all confrontation type or verbal exchange among the liberal leaders that ultimately control the newspaper, and the answers that are generated with the purpose of directing a certain political orientation to the electorate. It is necessary to clarify that the polemics and political confrontations that are manifested in the periodic Liberal Vanguard don't only include their enemy the conservatism, but rather they also include messages to their own partisans and the dissidents of the liberalism. Therefore the spectrum of confrontations is expressed in multiple fronts that will constitute the defense of the liberal régime in the electoral joints.
