dc.description.abstractEl sistema desarrollado fiNOVUS 1.0 es una herramienta software diseñada a la medida, acorde a las necesidades del Centro Nacional de Investigación para la Agroindustrialización de Especies Vegetales Aromáticas y Medicinales Tropicales ŒCENIVAM, cuyo principal aporte es el gerenciamiento de la información producto de investigaciones en diferentes áreas de la cadena productiva de aceites esenciales y derivados de extractos de plantas aromáticas y medicinales, desarrollado por el centro, una industria que ha mostrado crecimientos anuales del 10% a nivel mundial y que puede dinamizar el desarrollo rural Colombiano. La solución informática es un desarrollo en ambiente web que permite a los grupos de investigación (De las distintas universidades que conforman el proyecto CENIVAM) el ingreso, edición, y consulta de información resultado de procesos y actividades investigativas en el material vegetal y sus aceites y extractos naturales. Las herramientas de desarrollo empleadas fueron PHP como lenguaje de programación interpretado, para la creación de páginas web dinámicas y MySQL como gestor de base de datos; El software fue desarrollado usando técnicas que se encuentran dentro de la línea de las llamadas metodologías ágiles, está se llamada Programación Extrema o XP por sus siglas en ingles (Extreme Programming), se basa en la adaptabilidad ante cualquier cambio como medio para aumentar las posibilidades de éxito de un proyecto con el objetivo de aumentar la productividad a la hora de desarrollar programas.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe system developed "NOVUS 1.0 is a software tool designed according to the needs of the Centro Nacional de Investigación para la Agroindustrialización de Especies Vegetales Aromáticas y Medicinales Œ CENIVAM. The main contribution of this software tool is the management of the information provided by research efforts in different areas of the production chain of essential oils extracted from aromatic and medicinal plants, developed by CENIVAM. This industry has shown an annual growth of 10% worldwide and can boost the Colombian rural development. The solution provided in this work is a Web environment development that allows research groups (from the CENIVAM project participating universities) to input, edit and consult information obtained from research activities on vegetal material and its oils and natural extracts. The development tools used in this work were PHP as interpreted programming language to create dynamic Web pages, and MySQL as database manager. The software tool was developed using techniques belonging to the so-called agile methodologies, one of which is the Extreme Programming or XP. The Extreme Programming is based on the adaptability power to any change as a way to increase the success probability of a project, and consequently increase the productivity in the development of programs.
