dc.description.abstractEsta investigación tiene como propósito determinar el rol que cumple el Ingeniero Industrial en la implementación de la Norma ISO 26000 y los enfoques de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) en contextos organizacionales. A partir de una revisión documental, se identifican los marcos conceptuales y profesionales que han orientado históricamente la gestión de la RSE, para luego contrastarlos con el perfil del ingeniero industrial desde una perspectiva crítica. El estudio adopta un enfoque cualitativo, mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas dirigidas a profesionales con experiencia en sostenibilidad, gestión social, consultoría o áreas relacionadas con la ISO 26000, con el fin de conocer cómo se percibe, valora e integra la participación del ingeniero industrial en estos procesos. La investigación busca visibilizar competencias transversales, aportes específicos y posibles vacíos frente a otros perfiles profesionales, en relación con la gestión ética, social y ambiental en las organizaciones. Así, se espera aportar a la comprensión del lugar estratégico que puede ocupar la ingeniería industrial en escenarios de sostenibilidad, al tiempo que se abren oportunidades para fortalecer su formación, incidencia y participación en modelos de gestión responsable.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis research aims to determine the role played by the Industrial Engineer in the implementation of the ISO 26000 standard and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approaches within organizational contexts. Based on a documentary review, the study identifies the conceptual and professional frameworks that have historically guided CSR management, and then contrasts them with the profile of the industrial engineer from a critical perspective. The study adopts a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews with professionals experienced in sustainability, social management, consulting, or areas related to ISO 26000, to understand how the participation of industrial engineers in these processes is perceived, valued, and integrated. The research seeks to highlight transversal competencies, specific contributions, and possible gaps in comparison with other professional profiles, in relation to ethical, social, and environmental management within organizations. Thus, the study aims to contribute to the understanding of the strategic role that industrial engineering can occupy in sustainability scenarios, while opening opportunities to strengthen its training, influence, and participation in responsible management models.
