dc.description.abstractenglish | The generalized SU(2) Proca Theory is a modified gravity theory which introduces a vector field with global internal SU(2) symmetry. This theory follows the same spirit of Horndeski’s theories due to it avoids Ostrogradski’s instability. Theory building is motivated, for example, to provide an explanation that is absent in the model ΛCDM, about the nature of dark matter and dark energy. The implications of the theory at cosmological scales has been studied in other works. More exactly, is was shown that is possible to obtain a luminical gravitational wave propagation at cosmological scales by imposing a relations between the free parameters. In addition, it has been proved that the theory generates accelerated expansion. Therefore, it is necessary to study the the physical implications of the model at astrophysical scales in the regime of strong field. This work constitutes the beginning of such research. For this purpose, the case with spherical symmetry was analyzed, using as ansatz for the vectorial degrees of freedom the ’t Hooft-Polyakov magnetic monopole. First, solutions constructed with only the vector field and geometric degrees of freedom were studied. These solutions are not singular at the origin and are asymptotically flat. It was found that these solutions generalize the particle-like configurations found by R. Bartnik y J. McKinnon of the Einstein Yang-Mills equations. Since the vector field does not interact with baryonic matter, these solutions correspond to dark boson stars, which could contribute to the dark matter content of the universe. Subsequently, baryonic matter was introduced and we proceeded to consider each of the constituent Lagrangians of the theory. Solutions which models neutron stars were found only for two of these Lagrangians. In all cases the mass- radius and mass- matter central density relations were found to be different from Einstein’s. It is conjectured that these solutions could be stable and perturbative work is planned.
