dc.description.abstractenglish | This project was proposed to contribute to the research process in the mechanical vibrations field and its influence in the regional and national industry. The main objectives were to contribute to the academic development of the Mechanical Engineering program at UNIVERSIDAD INDUSTRIAL DE SANTANDER, through the contribution of theoretical basis and the basic framework for the analysis of vibration in rotative machinery. In the same way as the design and the construction of a test bank and the execution of experiences of unbalanced, desalination, mechanical looseness. The vibration analysis method based on the phase consists in the observation of the change of phase among extreme points of the machine. For the obtaining and register of the measurements of phase, a vibrator analyzer was used and the instrument of stroboscopic light kind which by tuning emits a glow for each rotor round and at the same time produce on optical illusion that permits to observe a mark of reference held. Due to the fact there are a great number problems in machinery that generate vibrations to1x rpm, the phase measurement has a great usefulness since it contributes to clarify what the detected problem is. The result and conclusions in regard to the unbalanced test were: the measurements between the horizontal and vertical direction, were out of phase between them 30° to 60°, vertical and horizontal stirrings ways are very alike and in general the vertical amplitudes are higher that the horizontal ones. In the desalination test: the measurements taken axially produced relations out of phase between them from 0° and 180° approximately. In the mechanical looseness, it was observed that the measurements do not keep any relation with regard to the phase. _ •
