dc.description.abstractNiveles de comprensión de gráficos. Microsoft Excel. RESUMEN: Esta investigación muestra una propuesta de aula para ser aplicada en estudiantes de quinto primaria y tiene como objetivo mejorar en ellos el nivel de lectura e interpretación de gráficas estadísticas. Este objetivo se logra a través de la implementación de actividades guiadas bajo el uso de la herramienta Microsoft Excel. Este trabajo fue aplicado a un grupo de niños del colegio Nuestra Señora de Fátima del municipio de Onzaga (Santander), logrando desarrollar habilidades para la interpretación, comparación, comunicación, argumentación y comprensión de gráficos estadísticos. Para ello se aplicaron 13 actividades dirigidas desde el uso del computador y buscando mejorar el nivel presentado en la prueba diagnóstica. El avance de los estudiantes desde la prueba diagnóstica hasta la prueba final, es reflejado en la modificación de varias de sus habilidades mejorando los niveles de interpretación de gráficas de Curcio (1989). Del análisis de resultados se concluye, que los estudiantes evolucionaron positivamente alcanzando el segundo nivel de Curcio el cual es Leer dentro de los datos y que estos resultados se obtuvieran a partir de la elaboración y aplicación de actividades con situaciones de la vida cotidiana y con la implementación de una la herramienta tecnológica que los motivara, en este caso el programa Microsoft Excel.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis investigation shows a classroom proposal to be applied to fifth grade students and its goal is to improve the level of understanding and comprehension of statistical graphics. This goal is achieved through the implementation of guided activities under the use of Microsoft Excel tool. This work was applied to a group of children from Nuestra Señora de Fatima school located in the municipality of Onzaga ( Santander), achieving the development of skills to interpret, compare, communicate, argue and understand statistical graphs. For that , there were 13 guided activities applied from the use of the computer and expecting to improve the level shown in the diagnostic test. The student progress from the diagnostic test to the final test, is reflected in the modification of various of their skills improving their interpretation levels of Curcio graphics(1989). From the analysis to the results can be concluded, that the students positively evolved reaching the data and that the results were obtained from the elaboration and application of activities from everyday life and the implementation of a technological tool that will motivate them, in this case Microsoft Excel.
