dc.description.abstractEn esta investigación se utilizaron las ideas de Fermat como base del diseño de un curso introductorio de cálculo, rescatando el papel de la matemática como actividad humana relacionada con la necesidad de dar solución a problemas reales. Para ello se planteó la revisión de la matemática de Fermat concerniente al concepto de derivada, seguido de todas las consideraciones didácticas necesarias, apoyadas en la Educación Matemática Realista como fundamento teórico para la enseñanza de la derivada. Para el diseño de las unidades, se tomó el marco metodológico que propone la Educación Matemática Realista, que precisa realizar un análisis fenomenológico de la derivada, en este caso, utilizando la revisión histórica del concepto identificando contextos, situaciones y fenómenos, estipulando tres fases de investigación. La investigación reconstruye las ideas relevantes de las soluciones de Fermat a los problemas de máximos y mínimos y rectas tangentes a curvas en un punto, involucrando momentos importantes en el desarrollo del cálculo, pero en una versión apropiada para el aula, esto es, utilizando elementos modernos como ejes cartesianos, notaciones, procedimientos algebraicos e, incluso, recursos computacionales, relacionando así, las ventajas que ofrece la historia sin obviar los avances y resultados que han obtenido los investigadores en el problema.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn this research, Fermat's ideas were used as the basis for the design of an introductory course of calculus, rescuing the role of mathematics as a human activity related to the need to solve real problems. For this purpose, the revision of Fermat's mathematics regarding the concept of derivative, followed by all the necessary didactic considerations, supported by Realistic Mathematical Education as a theoretical basis for the teaching of the derivative. For the design of the units, the methodological framework proposed by Realistic Mathematical Education was proposed, which requires a phenomenological analysis of the derivative, in this case, using the historical review of the concept identifying contexts, situations and phenomena, stipulating three phases of investigation. The research reconstructs the relevant ideas of Fermat's solutions to the problems of maximum and minimum and straight tangents to curves at one point, involving important moments in the development of the calculation, but in an appropriate version for the classroom, that is, using elements such as Cartesian axes, notations, algebraic procedures and even computational resources, thus relating the advantages offered by history without obviating the advances and results that researchers have obtained
