dc.description.abstractEste artículo tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar los diferentes métodos existentes de clasificación o priorización de pacientes en sistemas de emergencias a nivel mundial a través de una revisión de la literatura. Este análisis y los hallazgos de este estudio buscan consolidar una base de conocimiento sólida sobre las prácticas utilizadas en diferentes países para este problema. Investigar y profundizar en estos procedimientos es crucial para garantizar una atención médica eficiente, precisa y oportuna en estos contextos. Los métodos más reconocidos e implementados que se evidenciaron son los siguientes: CTAS sistema de triaje canadiense y escala de agudeza, el MTS Sistema de triaje de Manchester, el SATS Sistema de Clasificación de agudeza sudafricana, el ESI Índice de gravedad de emergencia, el ATS Escala de triaje de Australia, entre muchos otros. Asimismo, se encontraron métodos en desarrollo con enfoques alternativos aplicados en escenarios y países específicos.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe aim of this article is to identify and analyze the different existing methods of patient classification or prioritization in emergency systems worldwide through a review of the literature. This analysis and the findings of this study seek to consolidate a solid knowledge base on the practices used in different countries for this problem. Research and further investigation of these procedures are crucial to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely medical care in these contexts. The most recognized and implemented methods that were evidenced are the following: CTAS Canadian triage system and acuity scale, the MTS Manchester Triage System, the SATS South African Acuity Rating System, the ESI Emergency Severity Index, the ATS Australian Triage Scale, among many others. Methods under development with alternative approaches were also found in specific settings and countries.
