dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de grado se desarrolló bajo la modalidad de pasantía de investigación que, a su vez, tiene lugar en el marco de la conmemoración de los 100 años de vida académica del Instituto Politécnico Femenino de Bucaramanga (1925-2025), siendo posible gracias a la articulación con el semillero Políticas, Sociabilidades y Representaciones Histórico-Educativas (PSORHE) y teniendo como objetivo central, reconstruir la historia institucional del Instituto Politécnico Femenino de Bucaramanga en el periodo comprendido entre 1955 y 1984. En el transcurso del documento se examinan las diferentes circunstancias tanto regionales como nacionales, que hicieron posible que la educación durante esta temporalidad se transformará en beneficio de la mujer, hablando en términos de acceso y cobertura ocupacional. Permitiendo así dibujar el escenario propicio para que el Instituto se consolide en la ciudad y tracé alternativas vocacionales para redefinir el rol de la mujer en la sociedad. Por medio de la revisión bibliográfica, análisis de documentos oficiales, entrevistas y fotografías, se logró identificar los principales programas y los enfoques pedagógicos que se fueron implementando con el paso del tiempo, de igual manera, los desafíos y logros que las mujeres que hicieron parte de la institución y del contexto colombiano.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe present undergraduate thesis was developed under the research internship modality, which, in turn, takes place within the framework of commemorating the 100 years of academic life of the Instituto Politécnico Femenino de Bucaramanga (1925-2025). This was made possible thanks to the collaboration with the research group on Policies, Sociabilities, and Historical-Educational Representations (PSORHE), with the central objective of reconstructing the institutional history of the Instituto Politécnico Femenino de Bucaramanga during the period from 1955 to 1984. Throughout the document, the various regional and national circumstances are examined, which made it possible for education during this period to be transformed for the benefit of women, speaking in terms of access and occupational coverage. This allowed for the creation of a conducive environment for the Institute to consolidate itself in the city and to trace vocational alternatives to redefine the role of women in society. Through bibliographic review, analysis of official documents, interviews, and photographs, it was possible to identify the main programs and pedagogical approaches that were implemented over time. Similarly, the challenges and achievements of the women who were part of the institution and the Colombian context were identified
