At the beginning of 2020, the declaration of a pandemic due to the virus responsible for COVID-19 brought with it an abrupt and sudden change in people's lives, transformations in the economic, social and political paradigms of the way we relate as human beings. The work activities began to be carried out in a different way because of the distancing and the necessary protection measures established by every government. As a result, multiple companies chose to send a large part of their employee’s home to perform their duties more safely. The objective of this research is to determine the impact on the mental health of workers who perform and/or performed their work remotely due to the mandatory quarantine worldwide, this through a search for gray and scientific literature. This describes and characterizes mental disorders, with the result that anxiety, depression, stress and a decrease in mental well-being in general are common among the working population as a result of social isolation, lack of training and support to face this new modality, combined with the pressure from employers and the pandemic context. The article concludes on the relationship of these mental illnesses with each other and between the topics found in the research. It is important to review the literature on this current topic in order to know the depth of the problem and, through truthful information, lay the foundations for future research.
