dc.description.abstractEste trabajo titulado la influencia de la música latinoamericana en obras para saxofón contralto de compositores europeos de los siglos XIX y XX, busca reconocer los aportes de esta música y su influencia en el trabajo compositivo en obras para saxofón contralto. Para este fin, se trabajaron cuatro obras de autores europeos, los cuales encontraron gran fuente de inspiración en estos ritmos. Este repertorio fue abordado mediante un estudio individual, en el cual se realizó un análisis musical e interpretativo de las obras seleccionadas, entendiendo y respetando las características de cada uno de los diferentes ritmos, contextualizados en el ámbito académico. Luego de esto, se trabajó en el ensamble con el pianista con quien se pudo apreciar las obras en su totalidad. Al finalizar este trabajo, se encontraron cómo diversas obras del repertorio académico del saxofón contralto, incluyen inspiraciones en ritmos latinoamericanos y a su vez se han convertido en parte del repertorio universal del saxofón. Por otra parte, se puede observar el aporte pedagógico y metodológico de este trabajo, en el cual se aborda la manera de alcanzar una acertada interpretación de estas obras y la resolución de las dificultades técnicas que un instrumentista podría encontrarse a la hora de abordar este repertorio.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis degree work entitled “The Influence of Latin America music on works for alto saxophones by European composers of the 19th and 20th centuries” aims to recognize the contributions of this music and its influence on compositional works in alto saxophone works. For this purpose, four works by European authors were studied, who found a great source of inspiration in these rhythms. This repertoire was approached through an individual study, in which a musical and interpretative analysis of the selected works was carried out, understanding and respecting the characteristics of each of the different rhythms, contextualized in the academic field. Afterward, the ensemble was worked with the pianist, with whom the works were appreciated in their entirety. At the end of this work, it was found that various works from the alto saxophone’s academic repertoire include inspirations in Latin American rhythms and have in turn become part of the universal repertoire of the saxophone. On the other hand, the pedagogical and methodological contribution of this work can be observed, in which the way to achieve accurate interpretation of these works and the resolution of technical difficulties that instrumentalists might encounter when approaching this repertoire is addressed.
