dc.description.abstractLa demanda en el país se ha venido incrementando año tras año y la generación de energía eléctrica es a base de recursos no renovables, por eso se ha creado el Sistema de Gestión Integral de la Energía (SGIE), para minimizar los impactos causado bajo a este efecto, se realizó un diagnóstico detallado y una evaluación del estado actual del edificio ADMINISTRACIÓN II de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, identificando los equipos con altos consumos energéticos y analizando las variables de los procesos que impactan la eficiencia energética. En el proceso de caracterización se usan herramientas estadísticas y probabilísticas (diagrama de Pareto, consumo vs. Personas atendidas y metas, entre otras) para identificar de manera adecuada posibles soluciones y plantear recomendaciones para el ahorro significativo en las áreas de mayor demanda de energía de los edificios. Este trabajo de grado se encuentra ubicado en la primera de las tres etapas del sistema de gestión integral de la energía (SGIE), que tiene como título decisión estratégica y sirve como base de información para futuros proyectos que estén enfocados al uso racional de la energía y a la disminución de consumo energético del edificio de administración II de la Universidad Industrial de Santander del campus central.
