dc.description.abstractenglish | The desire to write about Reptile in Time was one: to recognize the images of the self and to travel, together with its characters, the transit from the ignorance of the self to the truth, whatever it may be. However, in trying to find a face for the soul, in searching for its silhouette with words, we stood on the edge of an abyss that, without warning, returned its gaze to us. In searching for a meaning to her self, the writer -character of the novel- found in her abyss the face of God and wanted to deny it. In this denial she turned to writing, but at every step she took the divine shadow followed her at her side. Thus, in searching for herself, she always found traces in herself of a divine essence, of an eternal self dwelling in her finitude. At the time of the interpretation of the work, it was proposed from a philosophical point of view: if the desire that moved the search was to find the essentiality of the self and to be able to grasp it - at least from a silhouette shadowed by the word - the idea of speaking of the self should be contemplated from the mysticism with which the logical positivism of the Vienna Circle was born, to Spinozist pantheism, passing through romantic visions like that of Schelling and heirs of his thought founded on. At the moment of the interpretation of the work, it was proposed from a philosophical point of view: if the desire that moved the search was to find the essentiality of the self and to be able to grasp it - at least from a silhouette overshadowed by the word - the idea of speaking of the self should be contemplated from the mysticism with which the logical positivism of the Vienna Circle was born, to the pantheism of Spinozism, passing through romantic visions such as Schelling and heirs of his thought based on hermeneutics and phenomenology such as Heidegger, among others. A path was also sought in philosophy for its affinity with truth (truth that runs from its ethical and moral sense to its coincidence with the sense of beauty that is born from it and that, without it, would only be ornamentation).
