dc.description.abstractEl dolor abdominal agudo es una causa frecuente de consulta a los servicios de urgencias de pediatría del mundo, el 30% corresponde a apendicitis aguda, sin embargo, el diagnóstico sigue siendo un reto para el pediatra por la multivariedad de síntomas que puede presentar la patología en especial en los niños menores de 5 años. Se realizará un estudio de cohorte prolectivo en niños entre 5 a 11 años que asistan al servicio de urgencias de pediatría del Hospital Universitario de Santander, con el fin de evaluar las escalas pARC y PAS y determinar su afinidad diagnóstica. Se establecerá cual es la mejor escala para predecir apendicitis aguda entre los niños que consulten por dolor abdominal. Posteriormente se presentará los resultados en espacios de divulgación científica.
dc.description.abstractenglishAcute abdominal pain is a frequent cause of consulting pediatric emergency services around the world, 30% corresponds to acute appendicitis, however, the diagnosis continues to be a challenge for the pediatrician due to the multivariate of symptoms that it may present. Pathology especially in children under 5 years of age. A prolective cohort study will be carried out in children between 5 and 11 years old who attend the pediatric emergency service of the Santander University Hospital, in order to evaluate the pARC and PAS scales and determine their diagnostic affinity. The best scale to predict acute appendicitis will be established among children who consult for abdominal pain. Subsequently, the results will be presented in spaces for scientific dissemination.
