dc.description.abstractenglish | Recent developments in multi-messenger astronomy have opened up the possibility of evaluating several gravitational phenomena and their predictions from both General Relativity (GR) and modified gravity theories. Additionally, in the astrophysical scenario, compact objects have always been subjects of interest given that they are ideal laboratories for testing gravitation in the strong field regime. For this reason, in this work we study the frame dragging effect produced by compact objects in the Horndeski theory, the generalized Proca theory and the generalized SU(2) Proca theory. This is a purely relativistic effect in which the rotating compact object distorts spacetime such that free falling inertial observers are dragged along, experiencing the appearance of an angular speed. To find solutions to this effect, we used the Hartle method, a process that allows to calculate the frame dragging generated by slowly rotating compact objects by making use of the solutions in the static and spherically symmetric case for the same objects. The numerical results analysis allows to extract relevant physical information about the role of the fields in the gravitational interaction. In general, the obtained results show the existence of particular characteristics for each one of the theories that makes them absolutely distinguishable in the face of future observational frame dragging results. Additionally, the carried out process reveals the need of imposing constrains in the free parameters of the GP and the GSU2P theories. Although several works had reported constrains for the free parameters of these theories through the physical admissibility of static and spherically symmetric solutions, the constrains that we estimated using frame dragging solutions, are more much restrictive that former ones. This shows the need to implement this kind of study in different theories of gravity. Finally, for the GSU2P theory, we found the existence of solutions of compact objects composed solely of bosonic vector fields. These objects are known in the literature as solitons and they are of theoretical interest because they are considered as black holes mimickers. It was found that this kind of objects do not produce frame dragging, which is a very distinctive signal in the face of observational results.
