Una aproximación al estudio de la sucesión de Thue-Morse

dc.description.abstractLa sucesi´on de Thue Morse fue descubierta en 1851 por Prohuet con el inter´es de aplicarla en la teo´ıa de n´umeros, adem´as durante el siglo XX, es redescubierta por Axel Thue y por Marston Morse, quienes la aplican a la combinatoria de palabras y a la geometr´ıa diferencial respectivamente, sin embargo no son las ´unicas ramas de las matem´aticas en las que esta sucesi´on est´a presente, tambi´en podemos encontrarla en la geometr´ıa fractal, la topologia, el ´algebra, el ajedrez, entre otras. Por esta raz´on se considera ubicua. En este trabajo se presentan algunas de sus definiciones y se demuestran que estas definiciones son equivalentes, seguidamente realizamos el estudio de algunas de las propiedades que se cumplen en la combinatoria de palabras, en la teor´ıa de n´umeros, y revisamos algunos resultados que esta sucesi´on tiene con el ajedrez y la curva de Koch. Por ´ultimo, presentamos las definiciones estudiadas en base 2 de forma generalizada para cualquier base b, realizamos la prueba de sus equivalencias, y observamos cu´ales y de qu´e forma se cumplen las propiedades estudiadas en base 2 para la base b como el hecho de tener; cuadrados arbitrariamente largos, ser libre de sobreposici´on, ser libres de cubos, sumatorias iguales, entre otras. Tambi´en se demuestra que no cumple con algunas de estas propiedades; como el hecho de no tener palabras pal´ındromos. Y existen otras las cuales no se pudieron establecer para base b.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe Thue-Morse sequence was discovered in 1851 by Prohuet with interest applied in number theory, also during the 20th century, it’s rediscovered by Axel Thue and by Marston Morse who applied it to the Combinatorics of words and to differential geometry respectively, however are not the only branches of mathematics what this sequence is present. We can also find it in fractal geometry, topology, algebra, chess, etc. For this reason it is considered ubiquitous. In this work some of its definitions are presented and proof that these definitions are equivalent, then we do the study of some of the properties that are met in the Combinatorics of words, in number theory, and we review some of the results that this sequence has chess and the Koch curve. Finally, we present the definitions studied in base 2 generally shape for any base b, performed testing of their equivalents, and observe what and how the properties studied in base 2 to base b as the fact of having arbitrarily long square, be overlap free, be free of cub, sum equal, among others. Also shows that failure to comply with some of these properties; as the fact of not have words palindromes. And there are others which failed to set base b.
