In the world, after the COVID-19 pandemic, it became necessary for access to these technologies to be mandatory to continue the training processes, however and due to the different conditions that some territories present such as lack of infrastructure, possession of ICT and public services such as the internet, problems such as school dropout and low educational quality came to the fore, which shone more heavily in rural areas, which have fewer resources and have considerably less infrastructure development than in the capital cities. The purpose of this research project is to find new technologies and / or techniques for connectivity that can be implemented to improve or support rural education in the department of Santander, a technological surveillance is carried out, a methodology where the situational state of technologies is analyzed. For connectivity in the world, an analysis of patent documents obtained from scientific bases, patents and alternative information sources such as Google Scholar is carried out, where emerging technologies such as SDN and NFV are detected, in addition a situational description of connectivity is made in Santander that allows directing the selection of possible technologies to be implemented in the rural educational context.
