dc.description.abstractEl presente proyecto tuvo como propósito desarrollar un estante transformable que permitiera la ubicación de los elementos personales de los estudiantes de Diseño Industrial cuando hacen uso de los talleres EDI y, a su vez, reutilizar material de mobiliario que ha sido dado de baja por desuso, regular estado o mal estado, dentro la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Para ello, se realizó un estudio de la sección de inventarios con el fin de conocer la cantidad de muebles y enseres disponibles para el desarrollo del proyecto. En el diseño del estante, se empleó una metodología basada en Design Thinking para conocer las necesidades del usuario, realizar un proceso de ideación, evaluación y selección de la propuesta final, llamada eCubic, la cual consiste en un sistema plegable, modular, versátil, que optimiza el espacio al reducir su volumen y es amigable con el medio ambiente. Posteriormente, se ejecutaron pruebas de verificación y validación con ayuda de un modelado 3D y un modelo formal que comprobaron el cumplimiento de los requerimientos del producto y la interacción con el usuario. Así mismo, se presentó el proceso de producción, el cual puede variar dependiendo del tipo de mobiliario disponible en las bodegas de inventarios; una comparación de costos de fabricación del estante con material reutilizado frente a uno con material virgen, y, por último, se analizó el impacto ambiental de la propuesta respecto al del material nuevo. 1
dc.description.abstractenglishThe purpose of this project was to develop a transformable shelf that would allow the location of the personal elements of Industrial Design st and, at the same time, reuse furniture material that has been discarded due to disuse, regular condition or poor condition, within the Industrial University of Santander. To do this, a study of the inventory section was carried out in order to know the amount of furniture and chattels available for the development of the project. In the design of the shelf, a methodology based on Design Thinking was used to meet the needs of the user, carry out a process of ideation, evaluation and selection of the final proposal, called eCubic, which consists of a folding, modular, versatile system that optimizes space by reducing its volume and is friendly with the environment. Subsequently, verification and validation tests were executed with the help of 3D modeling and a formal model that verified compliance with the product requirements and interaction with the user. Likewise, the production process was presented, which may vary depending on the type of furniture available in the inventory warehouses; a comparison of the manufacturing costs of the shelf with reused material versus one with virgin material, and, finally, the environmental impact of the proposal in relation to the one with new material was analyzed. 1
