dc.description.abstractAl hablar de verdad desde un punto de vista político, no necesariamente se alude a una descripción sobre el mundo lo más aproximada posible a los hechos efectivamente acaecidos, sino que, más bien, se hace referencia al producto de todo un proceso de construcción que tiene como fin lograr ciertos efectos en sus receptores, esto es, en la sociedad. De este modo, la verdad busca generar al interior del cuerpo social una determinada reacción conveniente al mantenimiento y fortalecimiento del sistema de poder que lo produce, lo difunde y lo respalda; por tanto, la verdad es ella misma poder y es inherente al ejercicio de éste. La realidad literaria de la novela Abril rojo de Santiago Roncagliolo es rica en situaciones que permiten examinar cómo se trenzan los hilos que ligan verdad y poder, cuáles son los métodos a partir de los cuáles se construye la verdad y cuáles son los efectos que ésta desencadena. Así, auscultando a esta obra se rastrean las huellas de dos importantes técnicas empleadas para investigar y acopiar los elementos base para la elaboración de la verdad: la indagación y el examen. Dichas técnicas involucran diferentes niveles en el ejercicio del poder: mientras que la primera se centra en la investigación de los individuos por su participación o no en unos determinados hechos, el segundo adelanta un control y una vigilancia continuas sobre el individuo penetrándolo en sus dimensiones más íntimas y personales. Como resultado de la exploración de los aspectos mencionados se obtiene que, tanto indagación como examen, involucran no sólo un ejercicio del poder sino la posibilidad de reafirmarlo y consolidarlo.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn political terms, truth not necessarily refers to a description of the world as close as possible to the facts actually occurred, but rather, truth refers to the product of a process of construction that seeks to achieve certain effects on its receptors, that is, in society. In this way, truth seeks to create a certain reaction that facilitates the maintenance and strengthening of the power system that produces, promulgates and supports it within the social body. Therefore, truth is power itself and it is inherent in its exercise. The literary reality of the novel Abril Rojo (Red April) by Santiago Roncagliolo is rich in situations that allow to examine how the relations between truth and power are like, what the methods used to construct truth are and what effects it produces. Thus, studying this book, one can discover two major techniques used to investigate and collect the basic elements for the production of truth: inquiry and examination. These techniques involve different levels in the exercise of power: Whereas the first one centers itself on the investigation of the individuals for their participation or lack of participation in certain facts, the second one carries out continuous control and vigilance on the individuals to penetrate in their more intimate and personal aspects. A result of the exploration of the aspects mentioned above is that, both inquiry and examination, involve an exercise of the power and the possibility of consolidating it.
